Anu and Paul were a New York love story unlike any other. Honest and real, the couple contacted Lisa Marie at Kaleidoscope to help them create a wedding as unique as their relationship and personalities in only three months! With a great budget and a beautiful venue in place, Lisa Marie had developed ideas and a theme that would have every guest walking in to this wedding Oooing and Awwing at all the elements that were "so Anu and Paul!" Everything was booked and vendors in place; we rented everything down to the fork and elaborate lighting for the trees at the Pennsbury Manor. Then ***ALERT*** Hurricane Joaquin had a very different plan for their special day. In the low lying lawn of Pennsbury Manor that sits aside the Delaware River, tent walls and moving to higher ground would not do, as the grounds were forecasted to be completely flooded for wedding day.
With only 4 days until wedding day, Lisa Marie sat down with the family in their Bucks County home. Anticipating the flooding and winds Lisa Marie, along with the family, made an executive decision to find a new, indoor, location for the wedding. Luckily, the family belonged to Yardley Country Club where they happened to have the date free of events! While it was dated and NOT AT ALL what the couple had in mind for their wedding day, Lisa Marie was going to ensure that everything was still perfect for the deserving couple. She exchanged the charge of rentals no longer needed, for labor and had the rental company take everything out of the new venue and bring all the rented furniture in; completely transforming the space with the addition of extra lighting and draping. Anu and Paul, with their families, entered the space where they once celebrated their engagement, only to find a venue that was created completely in light of their relationship. Every last detail, down to the table number records, and the custom created open air photo booth backdrop (designed with elements of Lisa Marie's own home), brought the bride to tears of joy! No more relaxed and happy than if Plan A or B were to have come together, Anu and Paul had an exceptional and intimate wedding full of personality and love.....that was then published, no less!
